Youth Ministry Planning Team (Y.M.P.T.)

YMPT is a collection of Youth Group members, Peer Ministers, and adults from our parish. On the first Tuesday of every month, we come together to brainstorm ideas and plan events for the Youth Group. Our intent is to gear these activities toward five specific areas of Ministry. They are: Praise, Prayer, and Worship; Religious Education; Guidance; Community Building; and Justice, Peace and Service.(See wheel system for details) Peer Ministers act as "heads" of each of these Ministries and concerntrate their efforts in the Ministry of their choice. Everyone on the team can participate in each event, from the first planning stages, right through to completion. Planning events such as the ones listed above gives each team member the opportunity to "try out their faith"; put it into action, while in a safe, supportive, loving and Christ-centered environment.
